Cameroon Fiber-Optic and Grounding
Feb. 2022
The SIL Cameroon Center needs fiber-optical networking installed to reduce their repetitive lightning damage costs and downtime.
The SIL Center in Yaoundé Cameroon supports over 30 different Bible translation and literacy projects in Cameroon and neighboring countries with living quarters, workspace, training facilities and technical support offices. Lightning causes frequent damage to their computer network, telephone system, security cameras and other vital equipment. Replacing copper Ethernet cables with glass fibers will reduce recurring lightning damage, saving money, and improving the security and productivity of the missionaries working there.
